About Us

Dr Peter Leijdekkers and Dr Valérie Gay are Senior Lecturers in the Faculty of Information Technology, Computer Systems department at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

They were brought up in Europe and moved to Australia 10 years ago.

Peter is interested in developing applications for mobile phones.

Valerie’s research interest is in Mobile and Distributed Multimedia Applications and Services.

Valerie’s objective is to design and create applications and services that are useful to society.

Peter first became interested in early intervention and heart monitoring when his boss, aged 40, died of a cardiac arrest. Like most people, his boss ignored the warning signs and did not call an ambulance.
